Women's Equality Day Celebration

Join us as we celebrate Women's Equality Day in this two-day event highlighting women's successes and celebrating this anniversary of Women's Suffrage!

Women's Equality Day, on August 26th, commemorates the day in 1920 in which Congress adopted the Nineteenth Ammendment to the Constitution, granting women the right to vote.

This year, ArtsAltoona is celebrating women and the progress we have made with a two-day event featuring prominent local female speakers and presenters, artists, musicians, and small business owners.

Friday evening we welcome the Women Judges of Blair County with a Wine and Cheese Reception followed by a discussion, topic: Our Challenges and Successes.

Saturday we are hosting 4 women speakers with topics focused on women making a difference in history, the clergy, the military, and their communities. A screening of the film, "Grit and Grace" will follow a catered lunch.

Both days will include art and live music by local women artists and musicians. Vendors of select products of interest to women will be present on Saturday afternoon.

Thanks to our sponsors, this is a free event to attend! There is a $10 charge for Saturday's lunch. Pre-registration is required. If you are planning to attend Saturday's portion of the event and lunch, please select the "Saturday Lunch" ticket option for $10.

You will be emailed a receipt (even for no-charge tickets) and added to a registration list with your name and contact information and we will check you in at the door.
